This South End of Boston resembles the Back Bay with its brick rowhouses and select brownstones. The South End has to some of the city’s most beautiful real estate with parks and squares abundant throughout all in a neighborhood-like setting. The area is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and continuously preserved by the South End Historical Society and Landmarks Commission.
The South End has become a very popular place to live with young professionals, couples and empty nesters making it a trendy neighborhood since the late 1900’s. It has been home to many artists in the SoWa District “South of Washington Street” along with numerous restaurants that all help gain popularity for the neighborhood. Recently the SoWa District has seen increased traffic and popularity with many restaurants, services as well as residential buildings being built.
